The Foothill Girls Softball League Fields Coordinator negotiates field usage each year, arranges for payment of those fields, and does field maintenance.  Our Field Commissioner for the 2008 season is Jay Ramey.

  • Buckeye School (Home of FGSL) - 4561 Buckeye Road, Shingle Springs, CA 95682

    • From El Dorado Hills - Highway 50 East.  Exit at first Shingle Springs Exit, go straight through stop light (takes you onto Mother Lode Drive), go one mile, Left on Buckeye Road, swing around curve, school on left.

    • From Placerville - Highway 50 West, Take First Shingle Springs Exit, go left under freeway, go approximately 3/4 mile, right onto Buckeye Road.

    • Field locations:  Buckeye Diamonds #1 (near Snack Bar), #2 (back corner) and #3 (Closest to Church parking lot).

  • William C. "Bill" McCabe Memorial Field

    • The field is at the base of Bertelsen Park, adjacent to Brooks Elementary School Gym.  It can be reached via Redwood Lane or Park Drive.  From Cameron Park and Placerville - HWY 50 West to El Dorado Hills Blvd.  Right on El Dorado Hills Blvd.  Left on Lassen Lane.  Right on Park Drive.  Enter Brooks Elementary School parking lot.  Proceed to the back left portion of the lot.  Softball during three seasons and soccer and football in the fall keep this lighted field well used. Other facilities at this park are drinking fountains, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, community bulletin board, and a portable toilet.

    • Field locations:  The first field visible is McCabe field. 

  • Pleasant Grove Middle School - 2540 Green Valley Road Rescue, CA 95672

    • From Placerville, Shingle Springs, Cameron Park -  Head west on Highway 50, take Cameron Park Drive exit, head North.  Go to Green Valley Road make a left at light heading West.  Go past Bass Lake Road, school is less than a quarter mile on left.

    • From El Dorado Hills Head north on El Dorado Hills Blvd. to Green Valley Road.  Make a right on Green Valley Road heading East.  Pleasant Grove school is at it's own light on right. 

    • Field locations:  Pleasant Grove #1 is the field next to the Tennis Courts, Pleasant Grove #2 is the field at the end of the soccer fields (furthest from the school buildings) and Pleasant Grove #3 is a boys baseball field and not used for softball.

    • Note:  There aren't any bleachers for the patrons or benches in the dugouts for the girls.  Please feel free to bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

  • Ponderosa High School Varsity Field - 3661 Ponderosa Road, Shingle Springs, CA 95682

    • From El Dorado Hills - Take the first Shingle Springs exit, Left onto Ponderosa Road, Go down Ponderosa Road for about 3/4 of a mile.  Ponderosa High School is on right. Turn into first driveway.

    • From Placerville - Take the Shingle Springs/Ponderosa Road Exit, right onto Ponderosa Road, go down Ponderosa Road for about 3/4 of a mile.  Ponderosa High School is on right.  Turn into first driveway,

    • Field locations:  Varsity Field is right next to front parking lot behind the bushes.

  • Ponderosa High School Junior Varsity Field - 3661 Ponderosa Road, Shingle Springs, CA 95682

    • From El Dorado Hills - Take the first Shingle Springs Exit, left onto Ponderosa Road, go down Ponderosa Road for about 3/4 of a mile.  Ponderosa High School is on right.  Go through the stop sign at Meder Rd., turn right into the first driveway past the stop sign (if gate is open) and proceed to the back area of the parking lot. 

    • From Placerville - Take the Shingle Springs/Ponderosa Road Exit, right onto Ponderosa Road, go down Ponderosa Road for about 3/4 of a mile. Ponderosa High School is on right. Go through the stop sign at Meder Rd., turn right into the first driveway past the stop sign (if gate is open) and proceed to the back area of the parking lot. 

    • Field locations:  JV Field is located next to the Soccer field and in front of the swimming pool area.

  • Promontory Community Park - 2700 Alexandra Way, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762

    • From Highway 50 headed East - take the E. Bidwell exit and turn left on to E. Bidwell.  Turn right onto Iron Point Road.  Turn left onto Sophia Parkway (you will drive on this road for quite a while).  Turn Right at Alexandria Way. The fields will be on your right.
       

    • From Green Valley Road headed East - continue to El Dorado Hills.  Turn right onto Sophia Parkway.  At the second stop sign turn left onto Alexandria Way.  Fields will be on your right.

  • Rasmussen Park - East and West

    • From El Dorado Hills - HWY 50 to Cameron Park Drive.  Left on Cameron Park Drive.  When you reach the Cameron Park Airport on your left, look for Mira Loma Drive on your right.  Right on Mira Loma.  Entrance to park through gate. If gate is closed, the park is closed. 

    • From Placerville - HWY 50 to Cameron Park Drive. Right on Cameron Park Drive. When you reach the Cameron Park Airport on your left, look for Mira Loma Drive on your right.  Right on Mira Loma.  Entrance to park through gate. If gate is closed, the park is closed. 

    • Field locations:  Rasmussen West is the first field upon entrance.  Rasmussen East is the back field.
